Viva la “Vita” (LOL)

So I have a PS Vita! I’ll post a review or whatever later. It has a screenshot feature that works with most games, so I figured I’d post neat/whatever pictures with a short review. SO THERE WILL BE UPDATES.

New background image for the site…if you’re reading this on a mobile device or through your Tumblr dashboard, or if you just want to promote the site with your wallpaper, this is for you!
(I realize the vignetting is uneven, but it took me about an hour too long to get the materials to get the wool required to make Panda Boy, so I was rushed at the end.)

How to make a Tumblr-esque photo post:
1. Get a random song lyric. I used a Fountains of Wayne song.
2. Type it into something. I used Pages. (“Oh it’s Mac-only, you’ve probably never heard of it.” See how effective that is?)
3. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but take a picture of the screen. Make sure you can see the pixels.
4. Run it through some Photoshop filters. Or any kind of filters. I used the Plastic Bullet app, because it was free when I downloaded it.
5. Upload to Tumblr! Tag it with something like “love” or “loneliness”. Enjoy your Tumblarity.

11 Years!

Today marks the 11th anniversary of ElroyHead.Com. I know this because I had to re-up for the domain again.

So go on living your life today, but live life with an extra bounce in your step.

Or something?

Site/Tag Stuff

“I have used CSS to ruin this site.” - Me

Posts now have a list of tags on the bottom. There’s a “Tags” section of the site (here) that has some issues. Namely, tags might not show up when you click it (so refresh!) and there are duplicate tags that I can’t narrow down (so live with it forever like I have to!).

Tags button replaces the “mobile” button that used to be up there, because Tumblr has its own mobile site now.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled Inception-related posts.

The New Logo!

It might change, but I like the slogan.

Here it is in case you are reading this through an RSS feed (LOL!) or something (LOLx2!!).

10 Years Ago Tomorrow…

I registered this domain.

What will happen? A new logo? Bonus content? At least one post?

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

I guarantee at least one post.

Random Site Stats

In May, ElroyHead.Com turns 10 years old.

The old Blogspot version of the site (now at http://classic.elroyhead.com) had 5,262 hits in its lifetime, which began in March 2005 (five years ago, math geniuses!). Its biggest year was 2006 for some reason, where it received 1,441 hits, or about 27 percent of all of them. Around 2.9 hits per day average.

The current version of the site has 712 hits as of right now. The site has been open for 22 days, so it’s averaged around 32.36 hits per day. Most traffic comes from the Canabalt fanfiction, which received 443 pageviews. As it stands now, the site has had around 49 percent of the traffic from the old site’s most popular year, and 13.5 percent of the old site’s total traffic. If it keeps up at this rate (it won’t) then I’ll get around 60,000 hits in five years.

Which isn’t a lot, when you consider that Twitter gets around 50 million tweets per day.
